When tax is taken

There is not one date. Tax withheld from wages or a pension is taken by the employer or the pension fund, before the transfer. It is not a separate debit on the account.

Instalments of withholding tax (rental income, self-employment, and other income with no collector) are taken on the 15th of each month. Quarterly, that is 15 February, 15 May, 15 August and 15 November. That is the rule published by impots.gouv.fr, not a guessed date.

Monthly property tax, residence tax and real-estate wealth tax (IFI) use the day written on the contract and on the notice. Copy that day onto the Fleuris calendar. Deadlines if you pay in one go are on the tax calendar.

  1. On the payslip, read the withholding line. Take-home pay is already after that line.
  2. For an instalment, keep the 15th, or the four quarterly dates if you chose that rhythm.
  3. For monthly local tax, copy the day from the notice onto the Fleuris calendar.
  4. To stop monthly local-tax payments, the official page says the request is due by 30 June, with effect the following month.

Questions

Is the 15th also property-tax day?

No. The 15th is for withholding-tax instalments. Monthly property tax uses the day in your contract.

Can Fleuris read my tax account?

No. Nothing is connected. The date to write down is the one on your notice.
